Microdetection of Chromium Mixed–Valences using CuNi/Ti Electrode and Linear Sweep Voltammetry

An electrode of non-precious metal has the potency to be utilized as a working for voltammetry measurements Cr<sup>3+</sup> and Cr<sup>6+</sup>. The analytical performance in determining specific species qualitatively quantitatively was studied. detection data were recorded analyzed using cyclic (CV) linear sweep (LSV), whereas scanning electron microscope (SEM) X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy used determine surface morphology presence crystalline electrode. Electroanalytical determined by voltammetry. results show that reduction Cr<sup>6+</sup> appeared at +0.84 V (vs Ag/AgCl) Cr<sup>2+</sup> +0.74 Ag/Ag). optimum conditions measuring found pH 6, deposition time 30 seconds, scan rate 160 mVs<sup>-1</sup>. is 4, 60 140 regression curve concentration 1 – 10 gL<sup>-1</sup> with correlation coefficient 0.9883 limit 2.08 gL<sup>-1</sup>. While range 0.99 2.18 There slight difference individual measurement current mixture but good agreement oxidation-reduction potential. analysis shows feasibility system developed.
